Reaction annealing

Reaction annealing

Reaction annealing is a heat treatment process in which metal is deliberately exposed to chemical reactions with gases such as carbon, nitrogen, or oxygen to modify its surface properties. This process can be used for hardening, diffusion modification, or oxide formation to enhance corrosion resistance, wear resistance, or other desired material properties.
