Patination

Patination

Patination is a type of surface refinement in which the natural oxidation process of a metal is deliberately accelerated or artificially induced. This process creates a thin patina layer that alters the material’s appearance and often provides additional corrosion protection. It is commonly applied to metals such as copper, bronze, brass, and silver.
