Normalizing

Normalizing, also known as normalization or grain refinement, is a heat treatment process used to homogenize the microstructure of a workpiece. The goal is to eliminate structural inconsistencies, achieve a uniform microstructure, and ensure a balanced distribution of mechanical properties. The process involves heating the material to a specified temperature above the transformation temperature, followed by controlled air cooling.
