Filler metal

Filler metal

A filler metal is a material added during welding or brazing in addition to the base material. It forms an essential part of the joint and influences mechanical properties, corrosion behavior, weld formation and processing.

Selection depends on base material, process, application, strength requirements, temperature load and environmental conditions. A suitable filler metal supports stable processes and the required quality of the joint.

bedra offers filler metals in the form of high-quality welding and brazing wires for copper and copper alloys as well as aluminium alloys. The bercoweld® and berAlweld® product families cover a wide range of industrial applications.
