Continuous casting

Continuous casting

Continuous casting is a process in which molten metal is fed into a water-cooled mold. The metal solidifies at the mold walls and is continuously withdrawn while further cooling down. The length of the cast product is not limited by the mold, allowing for the production of semi-finished products that can be cut to the desired size.
