It exhibits excellent thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and machinability. It readily withstands processes such as stretching, piercing, extrusion, winding, deep drawing, and hot forging. Under normal conditions, it is free from hydrogen embrittlement and can be processed in reducing atmospheres; however, it is unsuitable for use or processing in high-temperature oxidizing environments.
It is mainly used in the electrical industry for applications such as busbars in power installations, rotor bars in induction motors, EV connectors, EV contacts and relays, vacuum tubes and solid-state devices, and glass-to-metal or ceramic-to-metal seals.
