For decades, renowned customers throughout the world have relied on our coated EDM wires "made in Germany". They successfully showed that the bedra high-tech cutting wires topas® plus, cobracut®, broncocut®, megacut®, microcut® and bercocut® achieved sustained economic success.

Increase of productivity by using coated EDM wires of bedra

Since decades bedra has significantly contributed to the further development of technology in mould and tool making. With
the functional coatings for wire electrodes developed by bedra, an enormous increase in removal performance – and hence in productivity – as well as a reproducible highest precision and surface quality can be achieved.

Advantage of coated EDM wires

Coated bedra EDM wires are working decisively faster than plain wires. For example, the cutting speed combined with high precision can be increased by up to 35% when the gamma-phase wires topas plus X or
topas plus D are used.

The patented bedra EDM spool

bedra EDM wires are available on a wide
range of K-, P- and bedra-spools. Our recommendation is the unique bedra spool, which has been specially developed for EDM application. Its patented shape facilitates its handling and storage. The dodecagon geometry prevents the spool from rolling. This allows proper horizontal storage of bedra EDM wires and increases safety at work.
