Characteristics:
bedra 54400 is a phosphor bronze characterized by high machinability, toughness, strength and low coefficient of friction. The tin content enhances corrosion resistance and strength, while phosphorus refines the grain structure and improves wear resistance and stiffness. The addition of lead imparts free-machining properties compared to conventional bronzes.
Typical applications:
bedra 54400 is suitable for communication connectors, automobiles, heavy machinery, and other industrial precision components—such as bushings, discs, and bearings—where lubrication access is difficult.
