Characteristics:
bedra 51000 is a bronze alloy containing approximately 5% tin and 0.2% phosphorus for deoxidation. The addition of tin increases the strength and corrosion resistance in marine environments. It offers an optimized combination of engineering properties, such as excellent fatigue and spring characteristics, outstanding resistance to stress relaxation, high strength and ductility, coupled with good corrosion resistance.
Typical applications:
This alloy is widely used in spring-loaded conductivity applications, such as springs, contacts, terminals, electrical and electronic connectors. It is also used as fasteners and in wear- and corrosion-resistant parts, such as thrust washers, gears, marine propellers, textile machinery bearings, sleeve bushings, and clutch discs.
