Characteristics:
It is a high-leaded brass alloy known as dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass, primarily used in plumbing and related applications where corrosion resistance, especially to dezincification, is critical. It is also referred to as arsenical brass due to its small arsenic content, which enhances its corrosion resistance.
Typical applications:
It is commonly used in plumbing fittings and hardware, valve spindles and components, naval and marine applications requiring corrosion resistance, and refrigeration and industrial components demanding dezincification resistance.
