Yield Strength

Yield strength refers to the limit up to which a material can withstand tensile forces without deforming. At this point, the material returns to its original shape once the load is removed. The symbol for yield strength is RE. The unit of yield strength is mechanical stress, measured in N/mm² or MPa (megapascals).
