TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding)

TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas Welding and is a welding process from the group of gas shielded welding, falling under arc welding. It is particularly suitable for alloyed steels and light metals. In this process, a non-consumable electrode made of pure or alloyed tungsten is used. Inert gases are also employed in the process.
