Rough drawing

In wire drawing, depending on the diameter, the process is divided into rough drawing, medium drawing, fine drawing, and drawing with a scratch die. Rough drawing refers to the initial step in the wire drawing process, where the diameter of the wire is significantly reduced. In steel wire drawing, the diameter in the rough drawing stage typically ranges from 20 mm to 4.0 mm. For non-ferrous metal wire drawing, the diameter ranges from 15 mm to 1.38 mm. This step prepares the material for the subsequent drawing processes.
