Deep drawing

Deep drawing is a forming process in which a sheet metal blank is shaped into a hollow form by tensile and compressive forces without material loss. The sheet is pressed into a die and formed by a punch into the desired shape. Deep drawing is commonly used to manufacture cups, housings, and automotive body parts.
