Brinell hardness (HBW)

Brinell hardness (HBW)

Brinell hardness (HBW) is a measure of a material's hardness, determined by the indentation of a hardened steel ball into the material. The value is calculated based on the diameter of the indentation and the applied load. Brinell hardness is commonly used in material testing, particularly for softer materials such as cast iron and steel.
