Boiling point

The boiling point is the characteristic temperature at which a substance transitions from the liquid to the gaseous state. It depends on pressure, increasing with higher pressure and decreasing with lower pressure. At standard atmospheric pressure (101.3 kPa), it is referred to as the normal boiling point.
